Include Everyone
Our commitment to promote equity and inclusion in all aspects of our work, from accessible spaces to recruitment.
As one of the UK's leading science centres, we work with other science centres and partners both locally and nationally, to develop best practice.
We work closely with the Association for Science and Discovery Centres where we lead the ASDC Decarbonisation group. We’re linked into the worldwide science centre sector through ECSITE, the European network of science centres and museums and ASTC, the US-based global Association of Science and Technology Centers.
Our partnership with the sustainable futures team at WTC has been pivotal to the work we've been doing to support ASDC members across the UK. Chris and Roddy have dedicated a huge amount of their time to provide invaluable talks, workshops and tools to support science centres in tackling their own sustainability goals and targets. Their leadership on curating the content for the decarbonisation group is testimony to their commitment to the sector achieving net zeroCait Campbell, Project Manager - Association for Science and Discovery Centres
The majority of the interactives you’ll see in our exhibition spaces are designed and created within our on-site workshop by our Exhibitions team. By creating them here we can make sure that each is designed to delight and inspire our visitors.
We also offer consultancy services to other organisations in the UK and worldwide, including:
Our team has provided support and training as far afield as Bulgaria’s Muzeiko children’s museum and Abu Dhabi Science Festival.
Our commitment to promote equity and inclusion in all aspects of our work, from accessible spaces to recruitment.
Open City Research is about giving everyone the opportunity to be part of science research.
Along with our city, we’re on a critical journey to decarbonise by 2030.
