Spring inspired extravaganza

Join us to celebrate all creatures great and small in this special event for the little ones. All activities are designed specifically for the Under 5s and are running as drop-in's, so you can come and go as you like with no added stress.

The following activities, excluding the planetarium show, will only run as part of this event, and are included in your Toddler Takeover ticket.

Special activities: 

  • Wag your paws and shake your tail feathers in time to the music at the Animal Disco in our Theatre of Curiosity
  • Get your hands messy and create tasty sushi rolls to touch and eat in the Kitchen
  • Learn what food bees like to eat and plant a pollinator to take home in our Greenhouse
  • Head to our Tinkering Space to make your very own animal hat or feathered headdress to help bring out your wild side!
  • Collect a bumper shop in our toddler supermarket, and then prepare a (planet friendly) dinner party for your friends in our Open City Lab
  • Join Ursa and Leo for Home Sweet Home Storytime in our Studio.
  • Take a trip to the stars in our Space Explorers planetarium show. 

 

 

How it works

Our Toddler Takeover events for 1 to 5 year olds and their grown-ups. There are no school groups on this day so there is plenty of space to play.

We'll be running our Space Explorers planetarium show at various times throughout the day. There is an additional charge for this and you can add show tickets to your booking before you check-out.  

 

If you are a member with us, Toddler Takeover is a special event and therefore not part of your package, however you will still benefit from half price planetarium shows, just log in to your account before selecting your tickets as normal.

Our monthly under 5s mornings, Play Fridays, are included in your package. 

Our open concession ticket is a more accessible version of our previous concession ticket. This is the ticket for you if you would ordinarily qualify for a concession. We don't require you to bring any proof of your concession status.

If our standard prices are simply out of reach at the moment, you can also opt for our open concession ticket with no questions asked.
