February half term

This February half term we're inviting you to look at the world in new ways.  

What's on this February half term:

• In our Theatre of Curiosity, step into the colourful ‘Look Around Playground’. See how sensory objects prompt you to explore your surroundings differently. Stop at each station and add your own prompts to the Question Block party. We'll watch it grow throughout the day.   
• Head over to the Open City Lab to complete your Passport to the Stars. Find out what Jupiter smells like. Pick your perfect space mission buddy.  
• Meet some magical creatures in need of help in live show Fairytale SOS. Will science come to the rescue?
• In the Winter Kitchen, take a close up view and discover what makes chilli spicy. Dissect the smell of mint and whip up some delicious drinks.
• In the Greenhouse, simple experiments help us understand why not all foods taste the same to everyone in Grow your own taste test.

All these activities are drop-in. Just check times on arrival. 

In the Planetarium

Add tickets to the UK's only 3D planetarium for just £4 per person (£3 concession). 

Set off on your very own space adventure in Expedition Solar System 3D or explore the lifecycle of stars in seasonal stargazing show The Story of Stars 

Due to eye health restrictions, 3D shows aren't suitable for children under 6. Instead little ones and their grown-ups can zoom through space to help our little alien Blurgle Wurgle find a home. Where shall we go? Let’s Spin the Spaceship and find out!
