Home educator sessions
*Important notice: We're making some changes...*
It’s been wonderful to welcome so many of you to our two dedicated home educator events this term.
We’ve been doing a lot of learning since we reopened and realise that our booking process for these events has fallen short and needs some improvement.
While we work to resolve this, we’ve taken the difficult decision not to go ahead with the date we had planned in December.
We’re working to launch an improved system in time for the planned home education day in February and will send an update once this date is confirmed.
Thank you for your patience while we get this right.

Our home educator programme
Our home educator days will be on the first Friday of each month during term time.
On each day there will be a programme of workshops, shows or theme days from the education programme. There will also be Planetarium shows scheduled that are suitable for the relevant Key Stages.
Space will be reserved in our picnic area, so you can bring packed lunches.
How to book:
We are currently reviewing the booking process to make it more streamlined and intend to release tickets for our February day in the New Year.
We're making amendments to the year's schedule PDF, so have temporarily taken it down to avoid confusion. Apologies for any inconvience caused.

What's new?
While we've been closed, we've talked to you about how we can improve our home education programme.
We'll be seeing if the following changes help make our sessions more inclusive and accessible, so do let us know what you think:
- Where space is available accompanying siblings can be brought into the sessions if pre-booked (T&Cs apply).
- Over 12s will not need to have a supervising adult with them in the sessions (but they do need an adult present in the venue).
- The content will be identified via Key Stage and you can decide which workshops will be suitable for your children.
- We will be sharing the schedule for the full academic year each summer for longer term planning.
- The sessions wherever possible will be on the same day each month to help with planning and routines.
