Educational charity and science centre, We The Curious is launching a new photography exhibition ‘This Can Change’; opening on Wednesday 8 December it will feature 130 images submitted by the young people of Bristol in response to the climate crisis. A beautiful new piece of climate action street art has been unveiled as part of a new collaboration between We The Curious and Jody Thomas, the acclaimed Bristol artist behind the world-famous mural of Greta Thunberg.
We The Curious was the first science centre in the world to declare a climate emergency; with the pledge to become carbon neutral by 2030.
Inhale by artist Luke Jerram highlights Bristol’s air pollution problem. It represents a diesel soot particle, known as size PM2.5, which is found in the air that we breathe. The sculpture is 3 million times larger than the actual particle.
As climate change is an ever present and urgent issue, We The Curious is committed to promoting ideas and conversations about sustainable futures. In collaboration with the University of Bristol’s Cabot Institute, we commissioned Bristol artist Anna Higgie to create a mural about climate change at the entrance to our building.
