Community membership

If you’re part of a charity or group working in and for the community, then our community membership scheme may be for you.

It’s designed to support charities, not for profit organisations and services, whose purpose is to support individuals who face barriers to accessing We The Curious.

As a community member, you can arrange for your group to visit us for free, as many times as you like.  

We’ll work with you, our community groups, to support your visits in the best way possible; so that we can better understand your needs, ensuring that your group can make the most out of your community membership.
 

Who is it for? 

Charities, not for profit organisations and services, whose purpose is to support individuals who face barriers to accessing We The Curious, in particular: 

/ Young people 

/ Disabled people 

/ Those experiencing socio economic inequity 

/ Those who are not well represented in the science centre sector 

 

How much does it cost?

There's no charge for community membership. 

Tickets for community membership visits are free and are for venue admission only. Optional tickets to our planetarium shows are chargeable at the current open concession price and can be purchased in addition to your free Community Membership visit. 

We The Curious is an educational charity. Together, we can ensure everyone is included, curious and inspired by science to build a better world. 

 

How do I apply?

If you’d like to become a Community Member, please complete the application form below - we aim to review and respond within 14 days of receiving your form.

Once an application has been approved, you’ll then be registered with us as a community member and can start accessing your membership benefits straight away.

 

Additional support from us 

We The Curious offers a range of additional support to help you make the most of your community membership. Our Bookings team is on hand to answer questions about tickets and pre-visit planning. 

We offer an in-person welcome on your first visit to us, and we host regular meetups for our community membership key contacts, which aim to help you get to know us and our venue better. 

We’ll keep you updated on relevant news and events at We The Curious by sending you our quarterly community membership e-newsletter.
