It’s all about the birds and the bees – it’s After Hours: SEX!
Tuesday 2 February | Jen Forster
On Friday 12 February, At-Bristol Science Centre will be opening its doors for an event with a twist for ‘After Hours: SEX’!
The latest in the ever-popular series of adult events from At-Bristol, the evening will give visitors the chance to come and play on hundreds of exhibits, all with no kids in sight and a drink in hand! Each event always has a different theme, and in keeping with the mood of Valentine’s Day, At-Bristol will be taking a playful and scientific look at all things amorous!
Activities include:
- Vibration Station: a chance to test our equipment or (for just £1.50) you can make your own vibrating gadget and see what it’s capable of. Please note: Devices are not suitable for use on the human body.
- Experimental Cooking: join us in our Science Kitchen as we welcome Bordeaux Quay's Kelly Sealey to cook up some more unusual ingredients...including ram’s testicles.
- Chat Up A Robot: test out your best lines as we see if you can get amorous with AI.
- Life Under the Microscope: get up close (but not too personal) with bull semen in this Live Lab activity.
- Everything You Always To Know About Child Birth: ...witness simulated childbirth with Limbs and Things' prosthetic training aid and a qualified midwife will be on hand to answer your questions.
You can also take a romantic trip to the stars in the UK’s first 3D Planetarium*, with a presenter-led tour of the glittering night sky in the Winter Stargazing show.
With over 250 interactive exhibits to discover (including magnetic attraction, a walk-in womb and a camera that can see hotties!) there is plenty to get your heart a-racing. So, whether you've got a date, are looking for love, or just fancy a night out with a twist, it’s the perfect Valentine’s night out with a difference.
After Hours: SEX runs from 7-10.30pm on Friday 12 February. Entry is £8/£7 (concessions), and group rates are available. Visit www.at-bristol.org.uk or call our Bookings team on 0117 915 1000 (9-5 Monday – Friday) for more information and to book tickets.
*Planetarium shows cost £3 per seat, pre-booking is advised as they are always popular and normally sell out quickly.
