Join us for Festival for our Future, a free event celebrating the power of collective action on climate change, this year with a foody theme!
Head down to Millennium Square on 23 and 24 September for free family activities, film screenings, cooking demos, music and a large helping of inspiration from some of our city’s food heroes.

Saturday 23 September
11 am to 4pm: Future Picnic workshops
11am to 12pm: Sustainability Food Demo by 91 Ways to Build a Global City
- Zahela Olpin will be showing us how to make vegan roti jala with chickpea curry, whilst sharing stories about healthy cooking, her heritage and her time on masterchef.
12:30pm to 1:30pm: Circular Food: Reimagining Food Waste by 50 Ways to Cook
- An interactive talk exploring how we can re-frame food waste as a valuable resource.
2pm to 3pm: Circular Food: Grow Your Own by 50 Ways to Cook
- Have a go at planting and get a free natural grow kit to take home.
3pm to 4pm: Poco Drom - Punk rock family rave
4pm to 5:30pm - Film screening - The Biggest little Farm
With delicious vegan food from Little Bento Box and Happy Cow.
Sunday 24 September
